彩虹 (Cǎihóng): rainbow

This was shot last Friday afternoon from the office window. The weather is unpredictable. One minute it’s hot and unbearable, the next raining hard. Then later, sunny again. =\ ohwell.

It has been a long since I last saw a rainbow. =) It gave me fuzzy feelings. ^^

Day 13 to Day 15

Day 13: Technology

Simple ‘Machines’ or what not

When one mentions technology, words like gadgets, video game consoles, personal computers, automobiles, etc. immediately pops up. Well, I thought I’d post something differently.

Some things that we take for granted: fabrics, watches, tapes, glues, lenses, papers, standard measuring materials. =)

Day 14: 5 Facts

1) Chinese zodiac sign: Dragon (龍)

2) My initials are E.V.O.L.; L meaning Lim. I reversed it: milove. It sounded like my love, so I removed the V. Hence; miloe :) (fun fact: my 2 sisters’ initials are also e.v.o.l ^^ E from dad’s first name, V from mom’s :) )

3) I love unruled notebooks ♥ It’s where I put my schedules, ideas, doodles, etc.

4) I also adore writing materials. Whenever we travel, I can’t leave my notebook and pens/pencils. ♥

5) My family sometimes calls me a camel. This is because I can’t be seen without my water jar/bottle, especially at home. Haha. I love drinking water, but not an aquaholic.I like it lukewarm than cold.

Day 15: Sky

sunset funset

Initially, I thought of taking the sky photo from the reflection of a puddle of water. It didn’t rain yesterday; but while walking to the main road, this site greeted me. It was soooo pretty! The vivid colors were like a reverse flame— the bluish hue at the top fading to violet, pink, red orange, yellow. The giant ball of fire, reflecting on glass curtains casting a red orange glow to the city. A rare site in the metro. :)

Day 9 to Day 12

La-la-la-la catching up yet again~~~

DAY 9: Flowers

Origami

My only décor here in my cubicle at work. A few more days left before moving to another office~~~ :)

Day 9: What I am wearing (more like what I wore)

Saturday chill day

Last Saturday was quite uneventful. Just went to the salon to have my hair trimmed (for the Chinese New Year~~!) and try that hair treatment. Hair treatment seems fine. O_o Might have it treated again after holy week. :)

This t-shirt is one of my favorites! The shirt was originally just for guys, but I love the design! I mean, look! It’s the Parthenon! XD Dad bought the Great Wall of China. :D ooh~! Couple shirts~! lol =))

DAY 10: Faceless Self-Portrait

peek-a-boo!

Okay, so this is obviously not me lol. But I thought it was too cute to ignore. ^^;

DAY 12: Scene from a window

embouteillage

This is what I see everyday going home from work: lots of cars. …Do they have a term for a group of cars? ..A pollution of cars?

That tall classical building is actually a funeral home. ^^; The name of the establishment is Sanctuarium. Kind of grand for a funeral home, ey? I don’t know why they put funeral homes along that road. Yes, there are others more.

Day 6 and Day 7

Day 6: From a Distance

Quezon City Circle

One of the highest points in Quezon City. If Quezon City Circle is flooded, the water would be at the second floor of our house. Or worse: the roof. o_o

Day 7: Sunset

doodle

I have done this sketch a long time ago. If I rememberer correctly, this was in high school, since my signature here was different. ^^; I was not able to capture a real sunset because today was cloudy. The sky/colors weren’t pretty.

Mcdonalds also has this breakfast promo wherein you have to complete the card’s ‘breakfast menu.’ Once you complete it, you get this cute post-its to ‘share positivity’ to anyone. I think it is quirky. :)

Oh yeah~! I’m on schedule once again. ^^ tomorrow is Day 8: Chocolate. =)

Cheers! ^^

Day 2 to Day 5

DAY 2: Outdoor

The Ruins

This classical structure is a tourist attraction in Bacolod called The Ruins. The structure was built n the mid 1800s and then ‘burned down’ during the WWII. After more than 100 years, it is still standing proudly on the estate looking as if it is just under construction.

Imagine what it would have looked like when it was complete. The structure’s building materials and technologies used were top-notched: A-grade concrete, long-span 2-inch thick wooden floors (approx 1m x 20.5m), etc. They were also already using pipes for electrical wires. The septic tank used back then, is still being used right now. Inside the structure, there is a still well-kept interior garden. I can go on forever gushing about The Ruins, but I might bore you ;) . All I can say is, THIS IS A MUST VISIT!!!

My sister went to Bacolod to attend a relative’s wedding. I was browsing through her photos and found this. I love the reflection of the structure. It looked as if the estate has a large pond when in fact, it doesn’t. It does have a fountain though ^^; I love the illusion of the photo.

Short history of the Ruins click here :)

DAY 3: Shadow of anything

site photo

This structure is actually one of my current job’s government project. I like how the sun was cast on the marble accent wall from the louvers. The shadow added drama to the structure. The second floor windows you see here are supposed to have horizontal louvers. Yeah… you just can’t not have problems in construction, especially when it is a government project.

DAY 4: Favorite Color

绿色

Well, obviously my fave color is green. Haha. These are the green-colored stuffs inside my bag today. I used to have more green stuffs. =)

DAY 5: What I ate

food from Bacolod

This is my lunch for today! Achi, dad, and grandma came home last night from Bacolod. One of the few things that must be brought home to enter the home is Aida’s Chicken Inasal! No other Chicken Inasal can be compared to this (…or maybe JT Manukan’s can).

My dessert/snacks: caramel boat tarts and butter scotches from Virgie’s, also from Bacolod. =)

100th photo

2 days late for posting the hundredth post ^^;
We celebrated the coming of 2012 at Eastwood Mall. Stood for more than 1.5 hours, but it was worth it. The last performer was Mr. Pure Energy, Gary Valenciano, and 2 of his sons (if my memory is correct). It was almost like a mini concert of Gary V. He performed for more than an hour, and seemed to still be very lively. I guess that was how he was hailed as Mr. Pure Energy. ;) It was the second time I’ve seen him live. The first one was at the DLSU centennial party. The mini concert was fun! ^^

Happy New Year everyone! ^^
